Property Photography TipsApril 26, 2015
A picture is worth a thousand words and when it comes to real estate, it can be the definitive piece that could make or break your home sale. We know what you’re thinking: “property photography is expensive.” It can be, but it can also be a key player in generating interest for a recently listed home or condo for sale in Destin.
If you don’t have the budget to hire a professional, follow these tips to help set up a shot that leaves buyers in awe:Â
1. Use the Correct Equipment. IPhones and Androids are great, but they aren’t cameras and lack wide angle lens that show well in print and online campaigns. If you can’t afford expensive equipment and the materials like tripods that come with, consider buying a basic Nikon or Cannon model. This will allow you a little more control resulting in a better quality.Â
2. Prepare the Room. Remove clutter and clothes. Turn on lights and fluff pillows. You’re realtors – you know buyers like to see clean, neutral spaces and this should be highlighted in your pictures.Â
3. Review Your Shots. Before you leave, take a look at your photos. Make sure you have optimized for space and have a wide angle of each room. You don’t want to have to return to take more and you certainly don’t want to upload blurry pictures with date stamps and yourself in the bathroom mirror.Â
